I have no idea what's the proper way to send a prop but I would love to see “If you do that one more time I don’t think I’ll be able to control myself.” for Carrie + Douglass. Somethin' about the way they flirt, it's got me feelin' some typa way 😌 Of course, only if you can - thank you so so much!
HEY FRIEND!!!! thank you so much for dropping this in the askbox! so sorry it took me some time to get to it - the end of my semester was quite chaotic i must admit, but with the time i have, i was so excited to get to this one! (i think you asked it perfectly btw!!!) THEY MAKE ME LOSE MY MINDDDDD, i am so glad it is equally shared haha!! i hope you enjoy this then my friend!!! they are quite the duo!! :D
didn't think you'd notice
Tumblr media
(a/n): for my carrie x dougie fans, this is for you! let's just say - i did NOT expect this to end as it did, but honestly, for these two, i'm not at all upset about it so, please enjoy! had this sitting around for a bit, but it need a lot of editing, and finally had time so! i hope you enjoy! :D
A crooning Louis Armstrong song echoed somewhere above the flying club as Carrie took a long sip of her beer, reveling in the taste and the warmth that filled her body.
"You drink anymore of that and you'll be facedown on the toilet tomorrow." Marianne said, settling on the chair opposite Carrie with Frank, the orange cat, curled around Marianne's shoulders like some sort of expensive scarf - except the scarf was very much alive.
"You don't know that," Vivian chimed in as she settled into the other open chair and sipped at her martini, "You may not know this Mar, but Bergie's quite good at holding her alcohol. Unlike some people-"
"No need to rub it in." murmured Marianne with a low chuckle, "I'm just saying, we may have practice runs tomorrow, don't need our bombardier passed out at the bombsight."
"We ain't even dropping bombs!" Carrie admonished as she sat up and glanced at Marianne with a winning grin, "We're flying low over English coastline. Nothing's dropping outta the sky except maybe Blakely's formation."
"Heard that." Ev Bakely's voice called from somewhere to their right, "You know, I could tell Lieutenant Bradshaw you are talking quite disingenuous about me and-"
"I never said a word!" Carrie said sitting up and pointing a finger at Blakely with a smile, "You can tell her I said so. That I was sweet as maple syrup to you and all the fixings." Blakely raised a brow and took a sip of his own beer and nodded.
"Then what's this about dropping outta formation?" he asked her.
"What she's saying is that your crew oughta drop outta formation before Silver Bullets even dips-"
"Don't give him ideas, Mar." Vivian said, interjecting the tail gunner's query, "I think you do a bang-up job, Ev, but I gotta hand it to ya, Silver Bullets does her job."
"That's because you got Annie Bradshaw at the wheel." a new voice joined in, the likes of Francis Montez entering the picture, "You have someone like Brady who crashes a fort on any given day, you might've thought differently. Or better yet-" Francis turned to Blakely and patted his shoulder, "-Ev Blakely. Heard you had your fair share of crash courses in flying B-17s." Blakely rolled his eyes and turned to Carrie.
"You think if I tell Annie her co-pilot's talking about Brady she'll-"
"Lose her shit?" Carrie asked him, enticed, "Please, I'd love to see that."
"I'm sure you would." Carrie heard from the groups left and watched as Dougie waltzed over, stubbing out a cigarette and throwing an arm around Francis' and Blakely's shoulders, "I'd bet a hundred dollars to see Bergie lose her shit."
"I'm talking about Lieutenant Bradshaw, genius." Carrie said, with a raised brow and watched as Dougie let out a dry chuckle and slid his arms out from around their shoulders and bent down in front of Carrie slightly.
"First time you've considered my intelligence, I'm honored." he said and Carrie smirked.
"Don't get used to it." she offered back. Dougie smirked at her as the song changed to a sanguine Ella Fitzgerald tune. She stared at him and watched as he, quite nervously, stuck out a hand and wiggled his fingers.
"Not everyday I consider my hand in a dance either, so…." Dougie said, "take it or leave it." Carrie stared at Dougie for a moment, the pound of her heartbeat picking up as he watched her, like he was trying to read a book that was far too complex to understand.
"Not everyday that I take it." she said back smoothly, placing down her beer and standing, letting him take her hand toward the dance floor, knowing she'd get some heckling for this back at the table with some of the girls.
Slowly, she turned to him, his gaze making her feel hot all over in a way she blamed merely on the amount of beer she'd consumed. His hands moved from her upper hips, fingers dancing on her lower back, as hot chills eclipsed her form, her own arms coming to wrap up and around him neck, his presence tantalizing and intoxicating as suddenly every breath made her feel very conscious about just how close they were.
Carrie watched him up close, her head tilted slightly upward at the sudden nearness and slight bit of height he had on her. He smelled quite nice, his face clean-shaven except for that stubborn mustache that was growing on her, and his hair wasn't in that ridiculous gelled cut he usually sported. For a second, she was almost ready to run her hands up and through his dark locks, but she kept her hands firmly locked behind his neck instead and resisted every urge to do so. With just how closely she was studying him, she could tell he was doing the same thing.
"What?" Dougie asked her quietly, the music drowning out the thought of anyone else around them, "You got that look on your face."
"What look?" she managed out, her cheeks uncontrollably turning crimson. Dougie let out a chuckle and let his eyes go all soft, enough to make her heart lose control for a second.
"Maybe you save it just for when we're talking, but," Dougie said softly, "you got that stressed and stubborn look on your face. We're just dancing, look." Dougie shifted closer to her to where his breath was fanning across her face and she could feel each individual finger on her uniform, enough to pierce her skin underneath.
"You don't gotta be stressed when you're dancing with Dougie." Dougie said with a low chuckle, and Carrie snickered and shook her head.
"Didn't think you'd ask me to dance anyway," she said, her mouth moving faster than her brain, "and you really need to start wearing your hair like that more often." She stared at him as she said it and watched as his own brain seemed to rewire the longer he stared back.
"Like this?" Dougie asked her, his grip tightening on her waist as he lingered closer to her and smiled softly, "Didn't think you'd notice something like that." Carrie watched him, inches from his face and smiled slightly, her eyes fluttering shut slightly, before peaking out to stare just beneath his eyes.
"I notice a lot of things," she whispered back, her voice tight and high strung, "more than you might realize."
"Hm, is that so?" he whispered to her quietly, her eyes holding his gaze again as they stared each other, wrapped in one another's warmth and intensity, "How about the first time I met you, I remember that you were wearing your hair in that pretty braid. When your hair had been longer." She watched him as his hand slowly crept up her form to cup the side of her face, his thumb brushing over her cheek.
"You tried convincing me to do a vodka shot with you," Carrie whispered back, trying to catch what breath she had left, "you did a poor job of doing so." Dougie let out a small chuckle, before adjusting those soft, puppy-dog eyes again onto her and smiling softly, enough to make her heart ache just at the way he watched her.
"Yeah, it was pretty bad," he whispered back, his smile riding high, before it disappeared, into a more desperate and yearning look that crossed his face, "listen, Bergie….." She felt her body press against his full, her hands finding their way up the back of his head into his hair. She watched him, from right in front of her eyes as her heart ached more and more.
"The second time I met you, you offered me a cigarette, a Lucky Strike. You had on your sheepskin, you gelled your hair and your aftershave was like Buck's. Pine and cotton." she said quickly, watching as he stared at her, "You danced with Marianne that night. Then the next night was Tatty, and then Charlotte, and then Gemma." She stared at him, her heart pounding.
"The next night, you asked Judy to dance and Dougie….I wished that was me." she managed out, her hand snaking up to the one on the side of his face, brushing her fingers over his soft skin, "You chew gum way too loud for my liking, you usually get a beer and then do a shot, before drinking water. It's all about balance, you say. You are a horrible dancer, but I am too." Dougie continued to watch her as she felt her face reddening and her palms become sweaty, but she didn't care. She couldn't hold back anymore with what emotions had been building for months, week after week.
"I could pick out your laugh in a crowd anywhere," she whispered, watching as his eyes grew wide with a certain depth and surprise, "and I sure as hell would notice when something is wrong." She stared a little longer, biting back her lip as she wrapped her hand around his a bit. "I always do." She watched him, a certain desperation filling her body.
"If you do that one more time, I don't think I'll be able to control myself." Dougie whispered, a certain lowness to his voice that made her cheeks burn.
"What?"
"Look at me like that. Like you always do," he whispered back, his voice husky in a way that made her knees weak. His breath ghosted over her lips for a moment and before either of them were aware of the world around them and whatever was going on between them, Dougie was kissing her. She didn't care that they were in the middle of a shadowed, crowded dance floor, laced with smoke, the smell of beer, and low, swing music. She kissed back like her entire world was right there in front of her.

Glitch Techs Theory: The Connection between Miko and Bolypius. And how Five's family fits into this.
Ah, Glitch Techs Season 2. That was one hell of a ride and I enjoyed each of the episodes.
From the Dabney Glitch Techs being parodies of Super Sentais, to Ridley's introduction and character growth, to Mitch's character development and an entire clip show episode that left me in stitches.
While the wait for the next season is bound to be unbearable, lets take time to reflect on the many unanswered questions of the show. Such as...
What are Phil's secret memories that are locked up in BITT?
What is Bolypius?
Will we see more of Miko's family? (She has two younger brothers and not seeing them yet is why I hate Netflix's scheduling... -_-)
Will we get an answer to Hector's mom or is she not relevant to the show as a whole?
What is Hinobi Tech so afraid of Phil knowing?
Who exactly is Barbra's higher up?
What exactly is Miko?
Was Five's dad a Glitch Tech?
Why does Nameless wear a mask?
The most popular one being: Is Miko a glitch or not?
This theory was first concocted in Season 1. With the major supporting points being...
Her mind can't be reset and wiped of any present events.
She has some very inhuman reflexes.
Some lines that are foreshadowing, such as her game face being the only face she has, or that one time she said she's a lie for believing she beat a game when she didn't.
Barbara referring to Miko and Five as "the subject and her friend".
All of these are good points as to why she is a Glitch.
How does the 2nd Season follow up on this theory?
In the episode, "Find the Glitch" Mitch raises all of these points for she's a Glitch and everyone seems to be in agreement.
Everyone except Five.
Miko's his best friend and even if she is a Glitch, that doesn't make her any less of a person as he knows Glitches are capable of human emotions.
It's a very touching scene and it caught me off guard that the episode was not confirming or deconfirming the theory.
Yet, Barbara ominously says that anything is possible, when Bergy asks if a Glitch disguising as a human is possible.
So in my eyes. Yes. Miko is both a Glitch and not a Glitch at the same time.
Now your probably wondering, how does that work?
Let's go back to the end of "Tutorial Mode".
Barbara's superior believes "the subject and her friend" will be integral in finding Bolypius. What is Bolypius?
For those of you that don't know, Bolypius is named after Polybius. No not the Greek Historian.
Polybius is an urban legend that a government crowdsourced, arcade game called Polybius was released to the public in the 1980s to 1990s.
Men in Black-esque people would visit to datamine the game and monitor the effects on players.
Why? The game was said to leave a lot of psychoactive effects. Basically it was drugs in video game form. It was super addictive.
It would be removed from arcades roughly a month later.
Let's say Bolypius is an old arcade released by Hinobi Tech and has more or less the same backstory.
What if... Miko was one of the only people to play the game?
What if Bolypius does something to players where while getting SO addicted, they're granted nonhuman powers?
That would explain why Hinobi Tech wants Bolypius so badly: imagine what they could do if they got their hands on it and used the power on a more hands on approach. An entire army of people with it would be unbeatable.
Maybe even... Glitch like powers!
Perhaps Miko played it and Hinobi Tech decided to let her run around with those powers, wanting to observe the full effects from a distance. And because Bolypius' whereabouts are unknown.
This is why Barbara refers to Miko as "subject" and not as a Glitch. She's technically in a league of her own.
The way I see it, there are TWO possibilities.
Miko has a strain of Bolypius in her brain. This is why she can't be reset.
How do you reset a Glitch that is more or less the Glitches above all Glitches?
It would explain why she has abilities above the average human.
The second possibility, which kind of ties into the first one goes back to Miko being both a Glitch and not a Glitch. What if Miko is slowly evolving into a Glitch? What if the effects of Bolylpius was so severe that Miko is slowly turning into a Glitch?
Now you're probably wondering, how does Five and his dad tie in? Five's dad is in prison for hacking and the show has mentioned that Five grew up playing video games with him.
Hinobi Tech picks new Glitch Techs based on arcade leader boards and skills. Whose to say Five's dad wasn't a Glitch Tech and knew Phil and Joan? With all three getting their memories wiped.
The way I see it is Five's dad hacked a Bolybius cabinet and refused to help Hinobi Tech with any evil schemes. He would get his mind wiped and then tossed in prison weeks later.
But that same talent is found in Five. Hence why he's just as important in finding Bolypius.
Or, what if Five is a Glitch? And all the foreshadowing with Miko being a Glitch is all a red herring for Hector being a Glitch? What if Five's dad knew?
It's anybodys guess and I cannot wait for how the show goes with its unanswered questions.

Just a Crush
Introducing a short, fluffy one-sided Five/Miko drabble I wrote without really thinking about it! Also on ao3!
_________________________________________________________
Her hands were soft.
Five had expected them to be rough, calloused through battle but he supposed swinging a hammer made of pixels didn't have the same effect as swinging a legitimate one.
Her nails were left blank, not a single trace of polish to be found much unlike her sister's. Not that he'd expected her to be the kind of girl that bothered with that stuff, much too entranced in gaming and besides, Five figured Miko had her hands full maintaining the color in her hair anyway. If she didn't dye that stuff at least once every two months, he called sorcery.
It was a slow day, and Five had managed to get his partner out of her boredom dance long enough for her to take refuge sitting at the small round table across from him. Sure, he'd had to keep her distracted with his Hinobi Portable but the array of classics in his game library had kept her pliant for the time being, and somewhere along the way Five had ended up with her hand trapped between both of his. Just….playing.
It was calming, in a way. Tracing her fingers with his own, not a care in the world as he absentmindedly toyed with the one hand she'd kept free because 'Look, Five! Watch me beat this level one-handed!' because of course she would.
Miko tended to fall asleep whenever someone messed with her hair. Five had figured that one out after she'd dropped dead on his lap after just two minutes of him running his fingers across her scalp. She'd passed out with just as much energy as she carried; Five hadn't even realized it'd happened until he'd felt her weight on his legs and by the time he had, his abuela had walked in on the scene with the biggest knowing expression she could've possibly had.
It had certainly been an...experience explaining why his gaming buddy was fast asleep on top of him in his room while he'd supposedly only called her over to play the latest Smash Bros. But eh, people were bound to ask questions someday.
And Five figured it wouldn't be a good idea to have the same incident repeat itself while on the clock, but Phil had warned them of the destruction a bored Miko brought with her so this was the next best thing. Intentional or not, she couldn't run off if he held her hand hostage, now could she?
"Oh nerds," the 'Game Over' noise was enough to bring Five out of his semi-trance and when he looked up, it was to find Miko dramatically slunged back in her chair, head tilted upwards like she wanted to curse the gods themselves. "This damn level! I can't get past!"
"What?" Five perked up, a bit of a teasing grin on his lips. "The great Miko? Stuck at a game? Pure blasphemy, there's gotta be some rule against that."
Miko huffed. "In my defense, I'm playing one-handed! OG Castlestein is already hard enough with both hands!"
"You brought that on yourself."
"Says the one who's been hogging my hand this entire time!"
Five sensed the blush coming more than he felt it, and when Miko yanked her hand back and wiggled her fingers to emphasize her point, he didn't react. He hadn't really expected to be called out; they were generally touchy with each other, maybe even a little too much but it worked for them. "I-"
"Always touching me," Miko tsked, her hand falling back on the portable console she'd been nursing. A few clicks more and then the short silence was interrupted by the familiar Castlestein tune. "If you're not careful, people might start to think you have a thing for me, Five."
It was meant as nothing more than a tease, an off-handed little joke while she focused on her game but the problem was that there was some truth to it and Five could already feel the color in his face darkening. Damn it, he had to turn this around.
"Whoa, whoa, just a minute there!" He said, his fingers flattening out over the table keeping them separate. "You were the one who initiated the hugs after we literally just met!"
And what an experience that had been. Five wouldn't lie, the first time Miko had jumped him in a surprise hug, just a day after they'd gotten accepted into Hinobi, he hadn't known what to think. Sure he was familiar with the concept, his family practically lived off bear hugs and the like, but Miko had essentially still been a stranger to him at the time, albeit a special one. He hadn't been expecting the sudden affection, but he'd been quick to learn that it was going to be happening a lot and he might as well just get used to it. Miko had just been built like that, after all.
"Well, yeah!" Miko looked up from the screen for just a moment, grin flashing in a show of teeth. "We're friends, Five. I was excited to see you!"
"Excited to-" Five sputtered, his face catching flame and his brain switching to default Spanish in the confusion. Miko just let him go, having grown used to his frequent swaps by then and fully unaware of the few choice yet flustered words that were coming out of her best friend's mouth. Five sincerely prayed for this girl to never decide to pick up Spanish as a third language.
"I'm gonna end up fluent in Google translate because of you," Miko told him after he'd finished, her lips quirked into a half-smile while her eyes, once again, flickered up from the screen for a brief moment.
"Please don't," Five whimpered, his head tucked into his arms on the table, face entirely hidden from view.
He'd heard plenty of stories concerning people falling for their best friends, thought it was silly, honestly. Surely a little crush shouldn't be enough to feel awkward around someone you already have such a close relationship with, right? You just had to suck it up. And if not that, then confess your feelings, it was that easy.
That had been his mindset for the longest time, and it had also been his mindset the first time he actually realized what he'd been feeling this entire time. They'd been on a mission, he'd been on the ground, knocked on his ass with a ridiculously oversized glitch gaining on him. His gauntlet had been malfunctioning, sizzling and crackling in a way that just couldn't be good no matter how you cut it, and it was safe to say that Five was in a crapload of trouble.
But then Miko had, quite literally, come crashing into him with the full force of her body and a worried call of his nickname. Her next move had been to call for Ally to get them out of there, but when Five looked up and blinked out of his daze, for a split second the light hit her face just right and Five realized that the rapid beating of his heart wasn't just because of what went down not even a minute ago.
But it'd been fine because again, it was just a silly little crush and he wasn't planning to dwell on it at all. Miko was his gaming buddy. His best friend. He wasn't going to give that up for the world.
Five wished his mindset had stayed that sober.
The mission completion sound went off, followed by an excited victory cry that had Bergy stumbling and nearly tripping over himself in the back. Five didn't even have the chance to look up before a pair of soft hands dived for his face and nearly squished his cheeks together as he was pulled close to his excited partner's face. She was smiling, her eyes damn near sparkling and if his heart wasn't beating so damn loud in his ears he'd probably be grinning with her.
"I did it, Five! Did you see?!" Miko cried, bringing their faces together even closer in her excitement and ah, there were the touches again. Honestly she probably didn't even realize she was doing it. "I told you I could do it!"
Play it cool, play it cool. What were they talking about? Oh, right, Castlestein. "You beat it one handed?! No way!"
"Yes way!" Their foreheads were touching now; game forgotten between them. Five most certainly wasn't dying inside. Definitely not. "MVP of the day? ME_K.O.! I told you!"
Five reached for his face with a laugh that was a mix of amused and nervous. His hands wrapped around hers, gently peeling them off his cheeks and putting some distance between them as he leaned back. Their hands, however, remained intertwined. "Okay, okay! I get it!" He chuckled. "You're amazing, we know. Make sure to rub it in Mitch's face later."
His heartbeat slowed down to a pace that was less cause for concern and more healthy, but then she laughed and squeezed his hands a little and crap, there it went again.
"I so will!" Miko tugged at his hands again, but instead of pulling away, she just tightened her grip, almost intertwining their fingers. "You have to come with me though! Wouldn't be the same without you, partner!"
Five froze, his brain short-circuiting for just a second. "Do-" he swallowed; looked away. God that smile was dangerous. "Do you think I'd want to miss that? Not a chance!"
'Falling for your best friend is silly,' he'd said.
'Just confess! It can't be that big of a deal,' he'd said.
Oh nerds, was this karma? It had to be karma.
Miko leaped up from her seat, practically bouncing over as she rounded the table to stand in front of him, their hands still linked. "Well, come on, Five! Let's go!" She urged, tugging in an attempt to lift him from his chair.
Five's nervous smile turned soft at her antics, at her smile, and just like that, his inner panic disappeared just as quickly as a passed highscore. Because you know, if this was what he was going to be risking just for something as silly as a small crush? He was perfectly fine just staying the way they are.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm following, I'm following, relax!"

Can you do the picture thing with pasta?
i can indeed my friend! 😎 i love our czech noodle boy with all my heart, so let’s get this show on the road:
see here for other posts like this one! i am also taking requests for ‘em :)
Tumblr media
i’m putting this photo first because i found it to be personally and deeply transformative. i have always adored pastrnak, but was on the fence for a while as to whether i also found him physically attractive. this picture give me an aggressive shove off of said fence, and i then proceeded to land in a pile of my own feelings for this man. not that he even needs it in the first place, but that shirt is doing miraculous things
Tumblr media
🎶 walk, walk fashion baby, work it move that bitch crazy🎶 despite his teammates’ best efforts to take the piss out of him for it, pasta really is our resident fashion icon, and i love that. this suit is stunning, and i’m usually iffy about suits w sneakers, but it actually looks rather lovely on this occasion. i now feel inspired to go find a pair of renaissance-looking floral trousers of my very own
Tumblr media
joyous!! a beautiful ray of sunshine!!!! we are so lucky to have him, i really really love the energy and ~vibe~ he seems to bring to the team. my sample size of one (me) perhaps makes my findings unreliable, but i do believe that it is scientfically impossible to not smile when looking at pasta smiling
Tumblr media
i go completely apeshit every time i see pastrnak’s tattoo - it’s absolutely gorgeous. if i remember correctly (please holler at me if i’m wrong), a lot of it is in memory of his father too, which is really nice. pasta is an amazing player in his own right, but when you hear about his childhood and what he had to work through, i think it makes you appreciate what he’s managed to achieve - especially at such a young age - all that much more. we’re proud of you pasta!!
Tumblr media
noodle man says gay rights. fuck yeah!
Tumblr media
is there a shortage of snacks in the nhl?? why does everyone feel the need to munch on their equipment??? i’m so confused. whatever the case, this is hella cute, and makes me smile like an utter fool
Tumblr media
oh no, there he goes :(
Tumblr media
sometimes i’m having a bad day and then i remember this picture exists and you know what? smiles is better. pasta would make a good life coach. it will not solve your problems, but sometimes just putting on a smile can make them seem a bit easier. anon i’m so sorry, you probably just wanted a lighthearted photo post but here we are, getting very philosophical. blame pasta. tl;dr, smiles is better and david pastrnak is amazing
Tumblr media
what locker room shenanigans are these boys getting up to? and do i even want to know? this post was a blessing from the bruins instagram tbh. also uhhh boy’s got some fuckin legs jesus h christ 👀 watch where you’re putting those things
Tumblr media
oh my god!!!! who let him look this good holy shit. i think navy might be pasta’s colour, and i can totally get on board with the navy/coral combo too. absolute style king, through and through
Tumblr media
this is, i think, my absolute favourite pasta lewk. it’s fairly simple, but i love the colour scheme (see my above point), and the matching waistcoat + jacket really make it. i am also smitten with those shoes for some reason. plus i think the headband is literally just so good???? like hell yes, i am very much here for all of pasta’s hair accessorising
Tumblr media
something in me feels like pasta frequently gets in mild trouble with the bruins pr team because he is just slightly chaotic. case and point: mr pastrnak just distributing gatorade thingys to the audience at the all star skills event lmaoooo i love him
Tumblr media
the grey shirt is back - be still my beating heart. oh lord. he looks so fucking good. i cannot stop looking at this
Tumblr media
okay so pasta literally scores the dirtiest, sexiest goals i’ve ever seen. do yourself a favour and look up some compilations on youtube. thank me later, because every single one of them is fucking delightful, with the occasional one honestly getting me a bit hot and bothered
Tumblr media
i wouldn’t put it past him to just walk into td garden on a tuesday in april with this getup
Tumblr media
this is a strong candidate for my favourite social media interaction ever. “hey spaghetti man” is such a strong opener and i think it gave me whiplash, but nothing can be as iconic as “it calls style in europe”. sometimes that’s my response when my friend gives me a look for wearing an outlandish shirt or loud pants - they have no idea what i’m actually referencing, and also we live in europe, so they usually just try to ignore it. this is also a good photo in general, pasta looks v cute. i can only assume those jorts (let’s call them as they are, folks) were intact when he bought them but his legs, as we can see, are so powerful that they broke free 🤷🏻‍♀️
Tumblr media
i mean this is like,, very sexy of him to look like that and that’s all i think i can safely say about this gif, at least on this new pg website tumblr has tried to create…
Tumblr media
i reblogged this with the tag #oh….worm? and i stand by that. like, sir?? hello??? do you have any idea what you’re doing to me???? i just cannot catch a break from this man’s sheer beauty
Tumblr media
(gif via @gaudreau) oh my god i actually love him - he really is our little ray of sunshine 💖 i don’t even know what tf he’s doing but he’s so cute so it does not matter. this also reminds me of that one clip of him doing the macarena in front of a green screen while wearing his skates for some media thing
Tumblr media
this is like the only goddamn gif i could find of it but pasta passing the empty net goal to bergy during his 1000th game is one of the sweetest things i’ve ever seen anyone do on the ice???? it was just a little gesture but i think it’s a testament to the team dynamic, as well at the type of person pasta is (ie lovely). sometimes i tear up thinking about this game if truth be told (yes i’m a baby leave me alone)
Tumblr media
i know i said i liked the blue suit the Most but this is a close second,, that is such a crisp fit he looks so mf good mmmmmmmm . also what a lovable buffoon
Tumblr media
handsome man alert !!!! this is not a very good picture to demonstrate the fact, but pasta has really nice eyes like i’m legitimately jealous >:(
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(gif via @formulaice7) a better man would have been able to pick just one of these to include, but better men are off doing something far more productive than this, so you are stuck with me, who is chronically indecisive. but i saw these gifs and my only reaction was “oh fuck” and i do believe that is appropriate. maybe it’s just my weird opinion, but one thing sexier than shirtless? almost shirtless. (but i mean there’s plenty of fully shirtless pasta out there if u want it) the hand hanging on that hook is also kinda getting to me. he is just very beautiful
Tumblr media
sometimes i wonder why the majority of the nhl has no personality and then i remember - david pastrnak is literally hoarding it all…!

Fluff: The first time Bergy and Wilson hang out without Brad.
note - eafay clarified that this was other way around in face of my do you want more character death??? comments. so i present all dog fluff and no angst.
~*~
“Okay that is not how you play fetch,” Brad said, standing at the door to Bergy’s closet.
Bergy convinced him to dog sit for Wilson while the team was on a roadtrip and Brad was staying back home with an injury. There was actually not that much convincing involved per se; Bergy mostly just asked ‘hey do you mind looking after Wilson while I’m gone, he likes you more than his regular dog sitter’ and as was the case with 90% of the questions Bergy asked him, Brad said ‘yes of course’ without missing a single beat.
Except, as it turned out, Wilson had some very peculiar ideas about how fetch worked.
He dropped the ball to bark once now, standing his ground square in the middle of the closet, asking Brad to hurry up and get his ass over here. At which point of course, he was going to take the ball and run off to some other place in the house and raise hell to make sure Brad followed after him.
Really, this was no way to rest an injured ankle.
More importantly, he was pretty sure when Bergy asked him to stay in his house to look after his house he didn’t mean it as blanket permission to investigate every corner of the place, and especially you know, his closet.
But Wilson was not to be deterred. Putting on his best puppy face, he whined, threatening to tell his father tales of the awful mistreatment he received at Brad’s hands the moment Bergy was back.
Brad imagined Bergy’s face, the disappointment in his eyes as Wilson huddled close to him, said j’accuse! with wide betrayed eyes, pointing a paw at Brad.
He grit his teeth. That would not do.
“You win,” he said as he walked into the closet. “You better run fast or I’m gonna come and get you!”
But Wilson, that pesky hellhound masquerading as a Maltese Poodle mix, took this as an opportunity to surprise Brad once more, picked up his ball and threw it deep into one of the lower shelves.
“Oh give me a break,” Brad said.
Satisfied with his throw, Wilson merely barked happily in response.
Brad crouched in front of the shelf to retrieve the ball.
Maybe this was fetch after all. Just. In reverse. President Obama had called him a little ball of hate but he was getting beat in a battle of wits by a dog. And not a large dog at that either.
The ball had landed on a neatly folded pile of clothes. It was covered in spit which meant the hoodie it was lying on now also had dog saliva on it, which–God, dog sitting was a lot more difficult than he imagined.
He ran a hand over the garment to inspect how bad the damage was and then he frowned at how familiar the texture was.
Huh.
But that made no sense.
Mostly to convince himself that he was making up things, Brad took the hoodie out.
And then he stopped. He blinked, once, twice, pinched himself, looked at the tag.
None of those things changed what he was seeing.
That was Brad’s hoodie. Not only that, but it was his favorite hoodie, a soft gray Bruins one that was half a size too large for him and always made him feel warm and safe whenever he put it on. He had whined and complained for a week when he lost it, even offered a get-out-of-a-chirp free card to the teammate or member of staff who would supply him with a lead to its whereabouts, but all in vain.
And it was…somehow tucked away into an obscure corner of Bergy’s closet all this time? Bergy had smiled and sympathized with his plight back then, but said nothing. What plausible explanation could there even exist for how it made its way all the way here?
He was still pondering this mystery when his eye caught the garment that was previously right below the hoodie on the shelf.
A Bruins home jersey, the 63 peeking out mischievously on the arm.
Brad recognized it the moment he picked it up. The autograph in scrawny letters on the spoked B was unmistakable. What must have been a year ago he had made this bet with Bergy, but mostly with himself, said he would give Bergy his game worn jersey if Bergy scored a hat trick. Bergy, being Bergy, indeed proceeded to do just that in the next game and Brad made a big deal of presenting him with his reward, knowing of course that it was bullshit. There was literally no reason Bergy or anyone on the team would care for his jersey. He knew it was Bergy’s good nature and kind heart that made him smile as he accepted the gift, thought it would have ended up in the hands of some charity or a fan a long time ago.
And yet here it was, folded neatly and tucked under Brad’s favorite and previously missing hoodie.
Still half convinced he was in a fever dream, he crouched back down and digged further. Under the jersey was a t-shirt, a t-shirt he’d forgotten ever existed but his nonetheless, and under that yet another one.
Then he blinked, once, twice, pinched himself, knocked on his head.
None of those things changed what he was seeing. Hard as it was to believe, Bergy literally had a small tower made of Brad’s missing clothes.
“What is the meaning of this?” he asked Wilson, who was taking in the scene with calculated disinterest.
Wilson shook his head as if to say isn’t it obvious?
“Oh come on!” Brad said with disbelief.
It wasn’t obvious at all. Sure, he liked Bergy, and sure Bergy liked spending time with him, laughed and smiled twice as much when he was in Brad’s company than any other time, but that didn’t mean anything. It meant they were friends. Besides Brad was about as subtle as a freight train and as he had told himself on multiple occasions, surely Bergy picked up on it by now and if he had liked Brad back, surely he would have said or done something. Surely there was a perfectly reasonable explanation for what his clothes were doing here. There had to be.
Right?

All the even numbers!
There were a lot of questions but this was really fun!
2. Second favourite team?
Despite the Battle of Ontario, I sort of have a soft spot for the Sens because we’re Ontario bros 4eva.
4. Team you just hate?
Team USA, especially because they have such a skilled group of young prospects coming up. They’re going to be such an annoying rival for Team Canada to play against in the near future.
6. Top three players on your favourite team?
Nikita Soshnikov is probably my favourite Leaf right now! To round out my top three, I’ll say Connor Brown and Zach Hyman. I think all of them are good boys who work hard (y)
8. Three players you like on teams you can’t stand?
I can’t stand Chicago because they are so stupidly good. They keep trading away players and yet are still perennial cup contenders. That’s such bullshit. Pisses me off. Anyway, I still like Jonathan Toews. It’s a Team Canada thing.
Leafs and Habs are meant to be bitter rivals so I get mildly disappointed anytime the Leafs get scored on by the Habs lol. Anyway, I can’t dislike Shea Weber. See a trend here?
I can’t think of a third person I’m supposed to hate. Maybe Patrice Bergeron because he’s a Bruin. I don’t think there’s a single person who could hate Bergy for who he is as a person though.
10. Prettiest uniforms?
Before this season, it was tied between the Flyers alternate jersey (photo source)
Tumblr media
and the Ottawa alternate jersey. (photo source)
Tumblr media
After this season, I’m going to add the Leafs Centennial Classic jersey onto that list too. (photo source)
Tumblr media
12. Best hair?
This is going to sound mean but I don’t think there’s anybody’s hair I absolutely love? Maybe Matt Duchene’s hair at the Sochi 2014 Olympics because he looked rather princely. (photo source)
Tumblr media
14. Best eyes?
I’m a sucker for Tom Pyatt’s eyes. It’s not fair that both Pyatt brothers are this gorgeous. (photo source)
Tumblr media
16. Best goaltender?
My first response would be Carey Price. But over the past couple of years, we’ve gotten to see so many other goaltenders shine, like Braden Holtby, Sergei Bobrovsky, and Devan Dubnyk! My answer will still probably be Carey Price though lmao I’m just trying to create drama.
18. Dream line (mix and match players from teams)?
Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, and whoever because it doesn’t matter lol.
20. Most overrated?
Toews is constantly being called overrated but I looked up his stats they don’t even seem that bad. The lowest point total he ever had in his professional career was 48 in 2012-2013 (with 23 goals). So I wouldn’t call him vastly overrated. So I don’t have an answer for this >.
22. Prettiest goal you ever saw?
I spent so long trying to look for this goal. In the 2014 Olympics, Team Canada played against Team Austria and I remember seeing this toe drag goal by Ryan Getzlaf and at the time I was just so impressed haha. Maybe not the prettiest goal ever, but one that left an impression on me.
24. Who on your team is:
24a. Eternal sunshine?
Definitely Mitch Marner. He seems like he tries to stay positive all the time.
24b. Team Dad?
Mike Babcock for sure. He always seems so wise and strict. But if we’re talking strictly players on the team, then I’ll say Leo Komarov. But he’d be the fun kind of dad. Not the “clean your room” kind of dad.
24c. Team Mom?
Something about Curits McElhinney tells me he’d be a very nice Team Mom. I don’t know why, it’s just a feeling. But look at this photo lmao. (photo source)
Tumblr media
Otherwise, JVR seems very mom-like for some reason. I’d trust him to be an adult for the kiddos.
24d. Team Baby/Babies?
Preeeeetty much all of them? But among the rookies, probably the ones who are actually younger in age i.e. Mitch and Auston,
24e. The Class Clown?
OK the answer to this one is legitimately all of players under the age of 25 on the Leafs. It feels like when they hang out together, the hilarity just turns up to 100.
24f. The quiet one?
Hmm Freddy Andersen and Nikita Zaitsev I’ll say. Supposedly Zaits is a silly goose though and that makes me happy.
24g. The serious one?
I don’t know, something about Matt Hunwick makes me feel like he’s really earnest and serious. At least he’s smiling in his mugshot though. (photo source)
Tumblr media
24h. The hothead?
If I’m being realistic, it’s probably Sosh. He will go head first into any shenanigans without hesitation.
26. Player who’s always scratched who ought to be played more?
Well, it used to be Frankie Corrado since he was just sitting around and not getting a lot of on-ice time, but now that he’s cleared waivers, at least he gets to play with the Marlies and get a lot of practice in. And also hang out with Dicky. (photo source)
Tumblr media
Nowadays, I feel that the efforts of Leafs fans will be focused onto Josh Leivo, who has also been sitting around these days, and not getting a lot of time on ice. I think he’s in a similar situation as Corrado, because if I remember correctly, he had a one-way deal too.
28. Best duo?
Henrik and Daniel because they’ve basically turned into a meme by this point. Bask yourselves in the glorious Sedinery.
(gif source)
Tumblr media
Also everybody needs to watch the time the Sedins had a competition and their tiebreaker ended in a tie.
30. OT3+?
The entire Penguins team is best friends, and it’s beautiful. It just seems like they genuinely enjoy each other’s company and they hang out together even when they’re not at work. I wish I had a crew that was that tight.
32. Guy you want desperately to slash but can’t for some reason (Married, no good pair, etc.)
Uh, no one I can think of. I mean, if you can’t force a ship, then you can’t.
34. Player you most wish would get traded to your team?
For now I’m going to say either Juuse Saros or Colton Parayko, both players I really like and are sort of within the age range of the bulk of the Leafs roster.
36. Most likely to be in the penalty box at any moment?
These days it seems to be Martin Marincin :/ Just try your best, buddy, alright? I’m rooting for you.
38. Gets away with murder award (never gets penalties but should)?
Not really sure, to be honest. This sounds kind of bad, but I don’t really like to get involved in penalty shenanigans. They are always tricky debates :S
40. Nicest guy on the team?
Can I just say Patrick Marleau is a gem and I hope he has a good day today.
(photo source) (From Christina Marleau’s twitter but I can’t find the page because this was from years ago)
Tumblr media
And I almost forgot, PATRICE BERGERON, who is an ACTUAL ANGEL and the NICEST PERSON YOU WILL EVER MEET. (REAL LIFE EVIDENCE among countless other instances lmao)
42. Best with the press?
Sidney Crosby is absolutely the king of saying something without saying anything. He’s perfected the art.
I just want to give a shout out to Bobby Lu though. #1 both on the Panthers and in my heart. Here’s his twitter account which is an iconic piece of hockey history and everything he has ever tweeted should be framed in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
44. Most likely to be photographed with small children?
Sidney Crosby, especially since he started his hockey camp last offseason. He’s always really nice to them and that makes me happy :3
46. Most likely to be photographed shirtless in a hot tub with starlets?
My go-to answer was Tyler Seguin, but it could also be Ovi lol.
48. Most likely to get in bar fights unrelated to hockey?
I mean, hit the right nerve, and anybody could get into a bar fight to be honest lmao.
50. Rising star award?
THE LEAFS FUTURE IS SO BRIGHT I NEED SOME SPF 45. AND WE GOT MORE COMING OUR WAY IN THE MARLIES.

Ramblings: Stacking Mates, Shutout Season, PPPt/60, McCann, Zucker, & Bishop (March 8)
There aren’t too many teams that I would be keen to roster three players from. Stacking mates is often a recipe for feast or famine, and come time for fantasy hockey playoffs, an ill-timed famine can be the death of a squad.
That said, the Bruins and Panthers, who met on Thursday evening, are two of the teams you’d consider taking that swing on. Sasha Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau have the ability to go off in bunches and are both clicking above the point-per-game mark. Meanwhile, Keith Yandle has been steadily plucking apples from the orchard.
All three factored in on the first two Florida goals as the Panthers jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. David Krejci brought the Bs to within one before the Bruins’ top line joined the party
Despite still missing David Pastrnak – who is inching closer to returning from a thumb injury,  Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand refuse to slow down. Bergeron tallied his second shorthanded goal in as many games to knot the game at two. The assist, of course, went to Marchand.
Huberdeau clicked on his third point to regain the lead for a Panthers’ squad that should be looking towards the lottery and not the playoffs, but the Bruins were not to be outdone tonight. Matt Grzelcyk tallied the tying goal with 37 seconds remaining on the clock.
Then, it was back to Bergy.
  {source}<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">AND WITH 7.2 SECONDS REMAINING. PATRICE BERGERON. <a href="https://t.co/aHoP299Vei">pic.twitter.com/aHoP299Vei</a></p>— Bruins (Guy Boston Sports) (@Bruins_GBos) <a href="https://twitter.com/Bruins_GBos/status/1103847503433216000?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 8, 2019</a></blockquote>
<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>{/source}
Call it nine points in the last five games for Marchand and 80 on the season. Bergeron is up to 62 points in 51 games. Both are on 100-point paces.
  Stack ‘em up!
  **
Matt Murray made 25 stops and Sidney Crosby tallied for the sixth straight contest as the Pens blanked the Blue Jackets 3-0.
CBJ has lost three of their last four and is inching further away from the post-season picture. Missing the dance will be disastrous as the organization bet on itself and could be left holding the bag as the UFAs walk.
Joonas Korpisalo took the L in this one. Torts wouldn’t comment on why Korpisalo was getting the nod over Sergei Bobrovsky other than to say it wasn’t due to Bob’s performance of late. Columbus is riding three netminders right now, so perhaps it’s a just a rest situation, but it was a strange time to sit your number one if he’s healthy. The two teams meet again on Saturday, in what is shaping up to be a must-win for Columbus. If Bob is healthy, expect him to be tending the twine.
  Watch the updates.
  **
Jared McCann is loving life in the Steel City. The former first-rounder is breathing fresh air playing on the left-side of Crosby and Jake Guentzel. He has three goals and six points in his last five games and is seeing upwards of 17 minutes a night at even-strength. He’s yet to break onto a power-play unit, but if he continues to show signs of offensive life, that second unit should come calling soon.
We’ve all fallen for the third fiddle before, but McCann has always been a skilled, yet feisty player. He could be a nice fit on that line. Let’s see how the remaining games shake out, but we could be looking at a sleeper for 2019-20.
  **
In the most predictable result of the evening, the Sens lost again. This time to the Islanders. There isn’t much left to say about Ottawa. They stink and are going to watch Colorado draft an elite talent in June. Tough times.
Meanwhile, the goaltending on the Isle continues to be stellar. With Robin Lehner out with a suspected concussion, Thomas Greiss handled this one easily. He’s up to a .929 save percentage on the season.
  **
On the flip side of the predictability scope, the Lightning lost. No, it’s not April 1st, this is not a drill. Devon Dubnyk made 25 saves and Jason Zucker recorded the natural hat trick as Minny bested the best team 3-0 on Thursday.
After being moments away from being dealt to Calgary at the deadline, Zucker has been making good. The 27-year-old has five goals in five games and is enjoying the addition of Ryan Donato. Donato has been making the best of his opportunity in Minnesota. He has nine points in the eight games since the trade from Boston and has weaselled himself a gig on the team’s top line and top power-play unit.
We’ve got ourselves another sleeper alert.
  **
Alex Radulov returned to the Stars lineup and notched his first-career hat trick against the Avalanche. Jamie Benn had a goal and an assist to give him five points in his last two games, while Ben Bishop recorded his second consecutive shutout.
Bishop has been dynamite this season and should be in the thick of the Vezina conversation despite missing some time due to injury. His 0.930 save percentage in 39 contests sits second to only Andrei Vasilevskiy.
He’ll be 33 by the time puck drops next fall. I’ll be wary of him on draft day.
  **
Apparently, it was the evening of shutouts. Darcy Kuemper and Yotes blanked the Flames 2-0 on Thursday. Clayton Keller opened the scoring and Jakob Chychrun put the icing on the cake. Keller has just five points in his previous 15 contests. The sophomore slump has been wrapping its claws around the 20-year-old.
Bigger things are coming down the line. Hold on.
  **
The Canucks took on the Oilers on the road after an energy-filled victory on home ice against the Maple Leafs the evening before. They didn’t muster the same effort in this one.
Connor McDavid recorded two assists – his 60th and 61st of the season to join Joe Thornton as the only active players with three consecutive campaigns with at least 60 helpers.
Brock Boeser chipped in with two assists of his own but it wasn’t enough as the Oil took this one 3-2.
These two squads are battling for lottery balls at this point, so maybe we actually give the win to VanCity. What can I say, I'm a wide-eyed optimist.
  **
Chicago and Buffalo had some fun in a back-and-forth affair that needed extras. Chicago completed the first period up 2-0 only to see Buffalo score three in the second frame. The third period was highlighted by alternating tallies and a scoreless overtime period.
All three Hawks – Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and Alex DeBrincat scored in the shootout for the victory.
The Hawks jumbled their lines ahead of this one with Kane sliding down to “L3” with Artem Anisimov and Dominik Kahun. Fret not though, he chipped in two assists and skated a team-high 25:13.
That’s three wins in four tries for Corey Crawford since returning from the IR. Unfortunately, not a quality start in the bunch. The Blackhawks will continue to try and score their way out of trouble, but that method can only work for so long.
  {source}<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Passing greatness.<br><br>With two helpers today, <a href="https://twitter.com/88PKane?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@88PKane</a> has passed Steve Larmer to take sole possession of 4th in points in franchise history. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Blackhawks?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#Blackhawks</a> <a href="https://t.co/CCXWSVdo3S">pic.twitter.com/CCXWSVdo3S</a></p>— Chicago Blackhawks (@NHLBlackhawks) <a href="https://twitter.com/NHLBlackhawks/status/1103842767380377602?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">March 8, 2019</a></blockquote>

  **
The Sharks defeated the Habs 5-2 in one of the late affairs. Brent Burns recorded his 60th assist of the season in this one. The 33-year-old is on pace for 89 points, which would be the second most we've seen from a blueliner in the last 25 years (Ray Bourque – 91 points in 1993-94).
  Not bad.
  **
The Blues blanked the lowly Kings 4-0 in the final game of the evening. Vladimir Tarasenko potted a goal and added an assist. After the rocky first half of the season, Tarasenko has made good on owners who displayed patience. The 27-year-old has 29 points in 21 games dating back to January 15.
It was Jake Allen who completed the goose egg in this one. You know things are going your way when Allen has four quality starts in his last five contests.
  **
Our Report Generator on DobberHockey continues to be improved. The most recent addition has been in the PP Data area where Eric Daoust has included PPPt/60 – which is essentially how many power-play points a player gets for every 60 minutes of power-play deployment. It’s a mouthful, but it provides tangible evidence to support how effective a player is on a man-advantage unit.
To me, this is a potential gold mine. Teams are constantly looking to improve their special teams’ production and finding players who are thriving in a limited role would likely be a good starting point in attempting to unearth assets that will see their value increase with further opportunities.
At the top of this list, we see the elites. Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Pastrnak, Phil Kessel, Burns, etc. But what I’m looking for are those undervalued players. Here are a few that stood out to me.
Jack Roslovic – Pegged by many as a prime candidate to steal the second line centre gig in Winnipeg this season, Roslovic has found himself locked in the bottom six skating fewer than 10 minutes a contest and very few power-play opportunities. However, in his 45 minutes of man-advantage action, the 22-year-old has produced 7.9 PPPt/60. That number puts him a shade ahead of Patrice Bergeron.
The Jets are going to run into cap issues soon, and when they do, Roslovic will be there to eat up offensive minutes for a reasonable price. He'll be another good bet to garner more interest next season assuming Winnipeg doesn't find a way to add a centre this offseason.
Kevin Labanc – The Sharks have a bevy of forward talent to choose from when an opponent heads to the sin bin. But it's Labanc who leads them in PPPt/60. His 7.1 PPPt/60 is amongst the league-leaders and not due to small sample size. His 145 minutes of man-advantage action is less than the big dogs, but still averaging out to over two-minutes per contest.
He'll need to continue to fight off Timo Meier for that top unit spot, but Labanc has shown capable of improving production year-over-year. A few more minutes per night and we could be talking about a 65-point forward next season.

Part 3
Kim Possible meets the Boston Bruins Part 3 By me 3/21/17-4/22/17 Previously on Kim Possible. Feelings. Melanie: I have to see him. I miss him. Before Kim could utter another word, Melanie takes off. Kim: I will never get used to this. Not just for Patrice but for Brad and Tuukka as well. I like Patrice. Why do I feel the same towards Brad and Tuukka? What is going on? First I share a kiss with Patrice, then I get kisses on the cheek from both Brad and Tuukka. This is really not good. Her heart pounds as she thinks of each of the three boys. What am I gonna do? Trying to support. Kim: your heart will know. Later on, showing off her goalie skills. Kim: Melanie's the best goalie in Middleton history. She puts up a lot of shut outs for our team. If you call it that. Meeting between the goalies. Tuukka: can I see you tonight? Melanie: m-maybe. More jealousy. Ron *angry*: stop flirting with the enemy!! Melanie *glares and eyes go black*: my life. Not yours! And FYI, I do NOT flirt! The kiss. Tuukka: sorry about that. Telling the truth about her feelings. Melanie *looks at him without trying to get lost in his eyes*: you see. I like you, Brad and Patrice. A lot. Telling Patrice about her big secrets. Melanie *hesitates*: Tuukka and I kissed. *pauses, shudders slightly and whispers* I have a sixth sense. I can sense who's nearby. Patrice: that's pretty cool. And it's ok. Melanie: that's not all. *whispers* I have telekinetic powers as well as being very agile. I can create storms and I also receive prophecies once in a while. I'm known as the worlds most powerful hero. I was even once part of a superhero team called Team Go. But we don't have to get into that. Not thinking any less of her. Patrice *looks into her eyes*: I don't think any less of you Melanie. The promise. Melanie: please don't tell anyone. Patrice: I promise. Now. It's the next day and it's also game day. Middleton Mad Dogs face the Boston Bruins in a very huge game later tonight. Who will win? Boston Bruins leads the league while Middleton follows behind by a point. Two points for the Bruins could give them a little bit more breathing room from the Mad Dogs. While two points will propel the Dogs into first place. It's a big game between the two divisional rivals. Melanie wakes up to her phone ringing. She looks and sees that it's Brad calling her. As usual, her heart beats rapidly. Melanie *answers the phone, slight hesitation*: he-hello? Brad *joyful*: good morning beautiful. Melanie can't help but smile and blush at that. Especially since she's so used to a lot of people calling her ugly. Melanie: hi Brad. Brad: I hope I didn't wake you. Melanie: n-no you didn't. But you're up early. Brad: well you do know that it's game day right? I'll be going to practice soon with the boys *pauses*. Hey. Wanna meet up for breakfast? Melanie *without thinking*: sure. Brad *smiling*: perfect. I'll be there in a half hour or so. See you then angel. They both hang up. Melanie sits in bed, places a hand to her forehead and shakes her head. Melanie: what is going on with me? As she gets herself ready, Kim knocks on the door. Melanie: come in. Kim *walks in*: wow you're up early. *notices she's a bit more dressed up but still looking gothic, as usual* what's the occasion? Melanie *blushes*: oh. Uh. Kim: lemme guess. One of your boyfriends or all three wanna take you out. Melanie *defensive*: ok first off. They are all NOT my boyfriends. Second, I would NOT date three people at the same time. And thirdly, it's just Brad. Kim *smirk*: wow. You really are making an impression on them. Melanie *scowls*: Kim! Kim *laughs*: sorry. Couldn't resist. Anyways. How was your meeting with Tuukka last night? Melanie *blushes bright red*: oh uh. It. It was nice. Kim: haha oh my gosh Melanie. Your face tells it all. He kissed you didn't he. Melanie *trying not to sound like she's in denial*: no! Kim: heh. If you say so. Melanie: listen. It's not like I'm dating all three of them. Kim: didn't say that. Before long, there's a knock on the door. Kim and Melanie look over at the door. Kim turns around. Kim *teasing*: could this be one of your Romeos? Melanie: Kim I swear to god- Kim: what? Sisters tease each other you know. Relax. Melanie glares at her. Kim: didn't you and Shego do this sort of stuff growing up? Melanie *slight annoyance*: no not really *walks over to the door*. She taught me how to fight at a young age. And not show any signs of weakness. Kim: oh yeah. Hego did mention that. Melanie *stern*: yeah when you and Ron snuck over to the Go Tower without me knowing. Kim: will you let that go? Melanie opens the door and sees that Brad is standing there with a bouquet of flowers. Melanie *startled*: oh. Hey Brad. Brad *hands her the flowers with a sly smile*: beautiful flowers for a very beautiful young lady. Melanie *blushes shyly and takes them*: oh. Thank you. Kim *stifles a laugh*: I'm sorry. Brad: what's so funny? Kim: just that Melanie has three guys after her. Brad: well. She's gonna make up her mind soon and choose me. Melanie *startled*: I am? Brad *smirk*: of course. I'm way better than Bergy and Tuuks. Melanie *raises eyebrows in a "this is awkward" look*: uhm. Alright then. *walks back in the house* Kim: Mel? Aren't you forgetting something? Melanie: what? Brad: it's alright Kim. Melanie's going out with me. Melanie: I was gonna put these in a vase. And come back out. She walks back to her room and isn't within earshot with what Kim is about to say. Kim: soooooo Melanie's been going out with the three of you. Brad: well *places hand behind the back of his head and shrugs* I really wouldn't call it "going out" per se. Kim *leans against the door*: well. What would you call it. Brad: fighting to get her attention. But you make it seem like she's dating all three of us. I don't think Mel's the type that would do that. Kim: oh gosh no. I wasn't implying that. If it sounded like that, I didn't mean to. Brad: ah it's cool. The guys just think that just because they're taller than me, they're more apt to get her attention. And also because they think that all girls want a taller man. I'm a little taller than her. And as you saw the other day, those two are bigger. Kim: honestly. I can't say what Mel wants. You see, this is a big first for me. Brad *shocked*: no way. Kim: yeah. Melanie's not one to express interest in anyone. She's a loner I guess you could say. And complicated. Brad *nods head*: I can understand that. She needs a strong man *puffs out his chest*. Kim *laughs*: funny. Speaking of which, Ron and one other guy, you don't know him. He's a villain. But he's very much in love with her. Brad *short laugh*: looks like I got more competition. Kim: well. You probably will have a chance to meet Ron. He's on the Middleton Mad Dogs hockey team. Brad *stunned*: oh? Kim: you don't have to worry. Mel is NOT interested in him. She really makes that clear. Brad *relieved*: whew. Kim: but. Ron is very much crazy about her. But it annoys her which brings out some of her violent side. *shakes head*. Brad *smirk*: bad girl. I like it. Kim *raises an eyebrow*: riiiiiight. Brad: hey. It's cute. Kim: do you think Mel will be able to choose between you three? Brad: I hope so Kim. She spent time with Tuuks and Bergy. And now it's my turn. *looks at the time* I hope she's coming back. Running on a short amount of time. Was hoping to go out soon because Claude has a pregame skate today in a few hours and I won't be able to see her till maybe after the game. Kim: hold on a second. *runs into the house and calls out* Mel? Melanie *raises voice*: in my room Kim! *hides pictures of her with Patrice and her with Tuukka in her desk and out of sight*. Kim *enters*: there you are. *sees the flowers on her desk* that's a good spot for them. Melanie *slight blush*: oh I know. Kim: Brad is waiting for you. He said his coach has a pregame skate in a few hours. Melanie *face palms*: oh dang. I forgot! I'll go now. She rushes to the door, leaving Kim behind. Kim looks down and sees a corner of the picture that Melanie was trying to hide. She opens the draw and sees that there is actually two pictures. Her with Patrice. And the other with Tuukka. Kim *whispers to herself*: she looks so happy. This is not gonna be an easy decision for her. Outside the house. Melanie: sorry about that Brad. Brad *opens the passenger side door to his car for her*: it's no worries. Melanie: you're sweet. Brad *smiles*: well I gotta be if you're gonna choose me right? Melanie *skeptical*: uh I guess. But Brad. They both get in the car. Brad: yeah? Melanie: this isn't easy for me. Brad: I'm sure you'll know after your time with me *gently takes her hand, kisses it as he looks into her eyes*. Melanie *blushes bright red*: oh. Brad *smiles and starts driving*: you're so adorable. He continues to hold her hand. Melanie sits there, unsure what to think. This is so new to me. No ones ever done that before. Ok Melanie. Stay cool. It's gonna be ok. Brad: we are almost there. He pulls up to a place and parks. Melanie gets out of the car before he has the chance to get out and help her. Even though she doesn't need it. She figures he just wants to be a gentleman and score more brownie points. Brad *sits at a table outside*: this ok? Melanie: ye-yeah *sits down*. Brad *looks at her concerned*: you ok? Melanie *looks up*: yeah I'm ok. Just thinking. Brad *gently*: listen. There's no pressure if you feel like you have a choice to make. I just figured I'd tell you. Melanie *smiles a little and is relieved*: that is good to know. Thank you. Brad: I just don't wanna see you overwhelmed. As the two order their food and soon after enjoy a nice breakfast, Brad asks Melanie if she'd like to go for a walk before he leaves for practice. She accepts. As the two walk, he holds her hand and they end up at a pond that Melanie hasn't been to yet. Brad: did you know there's a pond here? Melanie: no I haven't. Brad *looks at the water*: yeah. I just stumbled upon this the other day. I like it here. Melanie: Brad. I have a question. Brad: hmm? Melanie: what's it like in Boston? Brad *smiles*: it's a nice city. Loud compared to here. But then again. Can't say for sure because I don't know how loud your town gets. But it's pretty nice. We have great seafood and we know how to "pahk the cah." Melanie *looks at him confused*: huh? Brad *laughs*: oh sorry. My b. People from Boston don't typically pronounce their "r's." Melanie: ah. I see. Awkward moment aside, the two of them sit on the grass. Brad lays down, pulls Melanie up on his chest and holds her close. Melanie's heart starts to beat rapidly and she looks up at him. Brad *smiling and gently rubs her back*: hey beautiful. Melanie *blushes*: h-hi. Brad *chuckles and throws his head back a little*: oh my god you're so cute. *looks back at her then gets sad* I don't wanna leave soon. Melanie *lays her head on his chest*: me too. Grrrrrr. What the heck! I really feel like I'm leading these guys on. This stinks. Brad *senses her feelings*: you're not leading us on you know. Melanie looks up again, shocked to know he sensed how she feels. Brad: I can't imagine how it must be like. Kim told me that this is a first for you. Melanie *hesitates*: it is. I'm not used to having these types of feelings. Brad: it's totally normal. Just to let you know, I'm not ALWAYS a bad boy. In fact, I'm actually a good boy. Melanie *smirk*: mhm right. She looks away then back up at him once more and notices his eyes sparkle at her. Unconsciously she smiles. He smiles back and they snuggle in a little closer. Without warning, Brad gets closer, brushes his hand softly across her cheek and pulls her face gently towards his, and before Melanie has a chance to react, his lips touch hers. Her eyes widen as he pulls her even closer, not letting up on the kiss. Oh my god. They're all good kissers. After a few moments, Brad pulls back. Brad: you have no idea how long I've wanted to do that. Melanie *blushes*: oh I'm sure. Brad *brushes away a piece of her hair to the side and smiles*: you're so pretty. Melanie *looks away shyly*: you, Patrice and Tuukka all say that. Brad: I mean it the most *kisses her forehead*. Melanie: I'm not used to being called pretty or beautiful or anything of that nature. Brad *tilts her head up and gazes softly at her*: you are though. Melanie *stammers as she gets caught up in looking in his eyes*: uh. Oh. *snaps out of it and looks away* yeah I'm used to being called ugly. Brad *softly and continues to gaze into her eyes*: my god. You are NOT ugly. Melanie *looks back up*: r-really? Brad *smiles*: really *quickly gets close to try and steal another kiss*. Melanie tries to look away but she gets caught up in looking into his eyes. He kisses her once again but this time, he holds onto her so she can't let go. Her eyes widen at how quick he was to steal another kiss. Her eyes flutter and her struggles to get away from his grasp become weaker and weaker. Eventually she closes her eyes and senses that Brad must be smiling at the fact that she's letting herself go. Brad *mumbles in between kisses*: you do realize I'm not letting you go. Melanie *almost under his spell but still tries to stay conscious of what's going on*: oh. Really? Brad *pulls her in more*: mhm *continues to kiss her* you're a great kisser. I want more. Melanie *turns bright red and feels his arms pull her in all the way and notices she's laying on his chest*: oh my. Brad ignores her comment and continues. He smiles, knowing that he might get Melanie under his spell and possibly be able to convince her that he's the man for her. Not long after the flood of kisses began, Melanie just now realizes that Brad's been trying to get her to make out with him. I wish I was doing this with Patrice. Unfortunately for her, she ends up thinking that Brad is him and she starts to heat up with her kisses. With a smirk, Brad doesn't show any signs of letting up. Time goes by slowly for the two but eventually, the make out session draws to a close. Brad's phone starts to go off. Brad *pulls away, takes out his phone, and sad sighs*: aw man. Melanie *sits up and rests head on his shoulder*: what is it? Brad *shows her the time*: I have to go. Melanie *looks*: wow. Time flew. Brad *sad sighs again*: I really wanna stay. I'm having fun with you. Melanie: really? Brad *sly smirk*: oh yeah. I especially enjoy your kisses. You seemed to really get into it later on. Melanie flushes bright red. I cannot tell him that I was thinking about Patrice at that time. And that was why I acted as if I went for the kill. Melanie: oh. Right. The two stand up and stretch after laying down for quite some time. Brad *kisses her forehead*: we might as well get ready to leave. Melanie *looks away shyly*: ye-yeah. I don't want you to be late. Brad *tilts her head back over to face him*: I won't be *steals yet another kiss*. Melanie gets startled as he kisses her yet again. He gently takes her arms and places them around his neck and then places his arms around her waist. He pulls her in and doesn't show signs of letting go. Melanie *trying to pull back*: Brad. The. Time. Brad *pulls her in*: I don't care *kisses her more*. Melanie *muffled from his lips on hers*: but? Brad doesn't pay any attention to her. He is enjoying himself too much to let her go. But this make out session is cut short when Brad's phone starts ringing. He lets out a groan and pulls out his phone. He pulls away and notices that it's Patrice calling. Brad *answers the phone*: hey man. Melanie blushes but listens in on the conversation. She can only make out so much of who's on the phone with Brad. But, she eventually recognizes Patrice's voice and she smiles. Brad: yeah. I'll be on my way. Patrice: it's a pregame skate bro. You HAVE to be here. Brad: I know I know. I'll be right there. Patrice: ok. I'll see you in a bit. Brad: ok. He hangs up and looks at her. Brad *confused*: why you smiling like that? Melanie *snaps out of it*: huh? Brad: you ok? Melanie: well uhm. You know I like all three of you. Brad *shocked*: you mean my kisses weren't enough to convince you? Melanie *looks away shyly*: well. *pauses* it's gonna be tough cuz both Tuukka and Patrice have kissed me. Brad *shocked still*: oh. Oh I see. Melanie *runs to hold him*: I still like you too. Brad *slight smile and wraps his arm around her*: well I'm glad to hear that. But I'm assuming this is gonna be really tough for you to make a decision. Melanie: if I make a decision. Brad *looks at her*: "if?" Melanie: well yeah. I'm having a hard time deciding. Brad *kisses her forehead*: I'm not mad at you ok. Melanie: ok. Brad: uhm. Do you wanna watch the boys and I have our pregame skate? Thinking she'd love to, she realizes that she has to head home and go with Kim for cheer practice. Melanie *sadly*: I would but I can't. Brad: hey. Don't be sad. You coming to the game tonight? Melanie: of course I am. Brad *smiles*: good. I'm glad. He brushes his hand across her cheek. Brad: you ready? Melanie: yeah. He gently takes her hand and they walk back to his car. As he starts driving, he still holds her hand and smiles. Brad: I hope you had a good time. Melanie *blushes*: I. I did. Flashing a smile, he kisses her hand. Brad: me too. He pulls up to her house and sadly lets her hand go. Brad *looks down*: I don't wanna say bye. Melanie: it's not good bye. You'll see me again. Brad *looks at her and smiles*: true. And I'm glad to hear that. He gently places his hand under her chin and kisses her again. The kiss only lasts a few seconds before Brad pulls away. Brad: I better get going. Melanie *gets out*: yeah. *shuts the door and walks around the car and faces him*. Brad *looks up at her and smiles*: can I ask one more thing? Melanie: what's that? Brad *blushes*: can I get a good luck kiss? Melanie *blushes*: again? Brad *teases*: again? What you mean again? Melanie: you've kissed me a ton today. Brad: I know but those weren't good luck kisses. Melanie blushes even more and stays put. Brad *looks longingly into her eyes, smiles her favorite smile, and pleads sweetly*: please? Melanie *slowly walks over*: I guess that's ok. Brad *smiles*: good. They both kiss yet again but while this is happening, they are unaware that they are being watched. Kim has come out of the house to get her car warmed up and happens to stumble upon the two kissing. Kim *whispers*: oh. My. God. After a short time, Melanie pulls back. Melanie: you better get going. You're probably late. Brad *looks at the time*: yeah. But you know. It's totally worth it. I'll see you tonight *reaches for her hand and kisses it* good bye beautiful. Melanie: see you later. *pauses* handsome. Dang it. I did it again. Brad *smiles*: awww you're so sweet. I'll see you later. He lets go and drives off. Melanie watches until his car disappears. Once that happens, she turns around and heads up the driveway. She is startled when she hears someone clearing their throat. She looks up and sees Kim. Melanie *startled*: oh. Hey Kim. Kim *raises an eyebrow*: how was "breakfast?" Melanie *blushes*: it. It was good. Kim *eyebrow still raised*: uh huh. Melanie *blushes still*: it was! *gets ready to walk into the house*. Kim: I saw that you know. Melanie *stops dead in her tracks and still bright red*: s-saw what? Kim *pulls her to face her*: you and Brad kiss. Melanie *turns redder*: oh. Kim: I thought you liked Patrice more? Melanie *looks down*: I. I do. I still do. But. But it just happened. Kim: oh don't give me that. It looks like you two made out. Melanie tries her best not to give anything away. Melanie: we. We didn't though. Kim *not believing her but doesn't press*: ok. Get your stuff ready. We have to go to cheer practice. As Kim and Melanie enter the gym, they notice that all the other cheerleaders are making their way out onto the floor. Of course, Kim's rival Bonnie is making herself noticed. Melanie stands beside Kim and gives her world famous death glare to keep Bonnie from saying anything to Kim. Kim *looks at Melanie and shakes head*: can you not give your death glare please? Melanie *still glares at Bonnie*: why? It stops her from being nasty to you. Plus she's scared of me *smirk*. Kim *sighs*: I know but still. We all need to work together and get along. That means no death glares. Melanie *scoffs*: fine. The two head into the girls locker room and get ready. Melanie's phone goes off. She takes it out and smiles as she sees who texted her. Melanie *holds her phone to her chest, smiles, whispers and love sighs*: oh my love. One could guess who texted her. Kim: Melanie? Melanie *snaps out of it*: yeah? Kim: you ready? Melanie *quickly texts Patrice back*: yeah. I'll be right out. She quickly runs out and joins Kim. Kim: let's go. The two join the other cheerleaders and begin practice. Melanie tries her best to stay focussed and follow along. But she becomes distracted and falls behind. Kim *to Melanie*: are you ok? You're not yourself. Melanie: yeah I'm ok. Let's just continue. The other cheerleaders shrug and continue on. After about two hours, Kim feels that the squad is ready for the big game tonight. Tara *squeaks*: oh my gosh. I'm so excited. Bonnie *scoffs*: oh get a grip Tara. Tara: what? This is a big game. I can't help but be excited. Kim: yeah Bonnie. Bonnie *scoffs and walks away*: whatever. As long as Brick scores tonight and wins. Before anyone else could comment, Kim looks at the corner of her eye and sees Melanie running towards the locker room. She follows her inside. Melanie *takes out her phone and sees that all three guys texted her*: oh my god. Kim: what? Melanie *startled and looks up*: oh my god Kim you scared me. Kim: you going to be ok tonight? You were very distracted. Melanie *puts her phone down*: yeah. I'll be ready Kim. Kim: as long as you're gonna be ready. I know your boys will be there, watching. Melanie *bites lip and clutches phone tightly*: I know. Kim *places a hand on her shoulder*: hey. It's gonna be ok. You got this. Just try not to pay attention to them. I know it'll be tough but you can do it. Melanie: I know. As practice wraps up, Kim and Melanie wait for Ron to come back from his practice. He staggers into the gym and collapses onto the floor. Kim *runs over to help him*: Ron! You ok? *to Melanie* you could help you know. Melanie *sarcastic*: oh really? I didn't know that. Kim *scowls*: Melanie. Ron: it's ok Kim *gets up*. Kim: how was practice? Ron: oh my gosh I'm so sore. But it was alright. Barkin was really hard on us. And he's hoping we can pull off a huge win tonight. It's gonna be tough. Melanie keeps her mouth shut. This is definitely gonna be a tough game. Game time. Kim and Melanie get themselves ready for the big game. Kim: ready to go Mel? Melanie: yeah. Kim: come on. We gotta get there before the game starts. Melanie tries to keep cool as they head off to the arena. Oh man. This is not gonna end well. As Kim parks the car, they walk out and head inside. They see that everyone is here. Melanie tries her very best not to show any signs of anxiety. Once everyone is finished getting ready, they all stand by the door and wait for the announcer to call them out. Kim: is everyone ready? Squad: yes Kim. They stand by and wait. They all take notice that the Bruins and the Mad Dogs are on the rink, warming up. Not long after, they all head towards their respective benches. Announcer: alright everyone. Put your hands together for your Middleton Mad Dog cheerleaders! The crowd cheers. Kim: ok guys. Let's go. Melanie tries her best not to show any emotion as she follows Kim out to the rink with everyone else following suit. They take to the rugged area of the ice. Melanie looks over at the Bruins bench and sees Brad, Patrice and Tuukka looking over. Oh no. I hope they don't see me. On the Bruins bench. David P.: hey guys. Isn't that Melanie out there? Brad: huh? David P.: look *points to her*. Patrice: oh my god. It is. Tuukka *eyes widen*: wow. I didn't know she was a cheerleader. Brad: yeah. I didn't know either. *to Patrice* did she tell you? Patrice *shakes head no*: she didn't. Zdeno: don't lose focus guys. I know you all like her. Brad: pfft. We got this Z. Tuukka: I'm ready. Torey *chuckles*: oh my god Brad. *laughs* you're really enjoying yourself. Brad *looks at him*: what? She's a cheerleader. David P.: a very pretty cheerleader. Brad *turns to face him*: eyes off Pasta. David P. *taken aback*: what the heck man? Not like I'm gonna try and steal her from you. Brad: better not. She's gonna choose me. Tuukka: pfffffffft. Here we go again. Brad: what! She is. Patrice: let's not get too carried away there Brad. David B.: we got a hockey game to win. Keep your head out of the clouds. Brad: yeah yeah yeah. Anton *smiles*: she's so pretty. Everyone stops and stares at him. Anton *startled*: what? Tuukka *chuckles*: she is. David P.: aaaaand cue in the blushing crew haha. Anton: I'm not blushing. Tuukka: me either. David P.: not yet. But you will soon. Back on the ice. Melanie looks over at the bench and notices some of the guys staring at her. She tries her best not to notice but at the corner of her eye, she sees one of them blowing her a kiss. As the cheer draws to a close, Melanie quickly heads towards the stands and sits down. Kim: glad that's over Mel? Melanie: yes. Definitely nerve wracking. Kim: but you stayed focussed and that's important. Melanie: and now the game starts. Instead of taking the game period by period of what's happening, we will just take it to the very end. It's less than 2 minutes left in the third period and the score is still tied at 0. Who will score first? Or does it go straight to overtime and or possibly a shootout? Kim: boy. This is a very intense game. Melanie: it is. Kim cringes when she sees Ron getting checked by one of the Bruins players. Kim: ouch. Melanie: I bet Ron's gonna want to drop the gloves. But it would be funny. Kim *ignores the last comment*: that wouldn't be good. Melanie: no it wouldn't. They notice that Ron is slow to get up but he does and resumes playing. There are a number of good scoring chances but no one is able to cash in on either side. Both goalies are standing on their heads. Melanie looks up at the clock. Melanie: looks like they're going into overtime. Kim: and one of the teams is gonna get a shutout. Melanie: yeah. The buzzer sounds and both teams head into their locker rooms. Each coach going over the game plan for overtime. Melanie: both teams look great though. Too bad they can't award points to both teams. Kim: oh I know. Any idea who you wanna be with? I know that's random. Melanie: I. I don't know yet Kim. After a while, the two teams come back out and head back on the ice. The crowd really gets into it. The buzzer sounds and overtime begins. Kim: wow. Ron looks really good out there. Melanie *scoffs*: pfft. Kim: oh come on Mel. Melanie *sarcastic*: sports are never his strong suit. You know that. Kim: but he looks good now. *sees him attempting to deliver a check* wow. Melanie: that was weak. Everyone is at the edge of their seats as one of the Bruins players goes on a breakaway. Melanie: oh my god. She holds her breath as she watches the puck get lifted and goes in on the short side. Bruins win it in overtime. Kim: dang. That was so close. I know they have another match up in the future. Melanie: yeah. In Boston. Kim: hopefully they'll win that game. 3 alternative endings with Melanie choosing to be with one of the players on the Bruins team
